How it works

Depop no longer charges a selling fee to sellers based in the US. Every sale through the Buy button pays payment processing of 3.3% plus $0.45, worked out on the whole amount the buyer pays: item price, shipping and sales tax. If the buyer found the item through a Boosted Listing, Depop also takes a boosting fee of 12% of the item price, excluding tax, plus the shipping unless you shipped with a Depop label. With a Depop label the buyer's shipping pays for the label; with your own label you receive the shipping and pay the postage yourself. If a sale is refunded, Depop reverses the fees.

Worked examples

  1. A $50 top with $8 shipping, your own label, not boosted: processing is 3.3% × $58 = $1.91, plus $0.45. Fees $2.36; you receive $55.64 and pay the postage yourself.
  2. The same top sold through a Boosted Listing: the boosting fee adds 12% × $58 = $6.96. Fees $9.32; you receive $48.68.
  3. Boosted, but shipped with a Depop label: the boost fee is 12% × $50 = $6.00, and processing stays at $2.36 because the buyer still paid $58. Fees $8.36; you receive $41.64, and the label is already paid.

Common questions

Does Depop still charge a 10% selling fee in the US?

No. Depop's fee page says no selling fees are charged to sellers based in the US, UK or Australia. You still pay payment processing, and a boosting fee on boosted sales.

How much is Depop's payment processing fee?

3.3% + $0.45 per sale in the US, charged on the item price plus shipping and any tax the buyer pays. On a $50 item with $8 shipping that is $2.36.

How much is the Depop boosting fee?

12% for listings boosted from 23 March 2026, charged on the item price excluding tax, plus the shipping unless you used a Depop shipping label. You only pay it when the sale came through the boost.

Does Depop refund fees on returns?

Yes. If a sale is refunded, Depop reverses the processing and boosting fees automatically for sales paid through Depop Payments.

How much should I list at to keep a set amount?

Switch the calculator to 'Price to ask' and enter what you want to keep. It finds the lowest item price that leaves you at least that much, with your shipping, tax, label and boost settings.

What does this calculator leave out?

Sellers outside the US, UK and Australia (10% selling fee and PayPal), Depop shipping label prices, and the buyer's marketplace fee. It uses Depop's seller fees page.
