How it works

Depop does not charge a selling fee to sellers based in the UK. Every sale through the Buy button pays payment processing of 2.9% plus 30p, worked out on the whole amount the buyer pays: item price, postage and any tax. If the buyer found the item through a Boosted Listing, Depop also takes a boosting fee of 12% of the item price, plus the postage unless you shipped with a Depop label. With a Depop label the buyer's postage pays for the label; with your own label you receive the postage and pay for it yourself. If a sale is refunded, Depop reverses the fees.

Worked examples

  1. A £30 jacket with £3.50 postage, your own label, not boosted: processing is 2.9% × £33.50 = £0.97, plus 30p. Fees £1.27; you receive £32.23 and pay the postage yourself.
  2. The same jacket sold through a Boosted Listing with a Depop label: boost 12% × £30 = £3.60, processing still £1.27 because the buyer paid £33.50. Fees £4.87; you receive £25.13 and the label is already paid.
  3. A £10 top with no postage: 2.9% × £10 = £0.29, plus 30p, so 59p in fees and you keep £9.41.
